# SoFi 10 月 22 日推出的 SOFIE，浮动年化 4.40%。它付得出利息，是因为它本质上是一笔银行存款。

最省事的看法是：这是更好的稳定币，同样一美元，还多了收益。拆开看：每枚 SOFIE 对应存在 SoFi Bank 的 1 美元。银行可以把这一美元借出去、分出利差，利息就从这里来。FDIC 按每位存款人 25 万美元的上限承保，SoFi 自己也写明它“不是支付型稳定币”。按规定，支付型稳定币不能给持有人付任何利息，储备金的收益归发行方。

所以，收益来自银行业务，风险也一样。存款记在银行的资产负债表上，背后有存款保险；稳定币不付息，承担的是发行方和储备资产的风险，而且没有保险。

在任何“数字美元”上拿利息之前，先问三件事：它记在谁的账上？有没有保险？利息是谁付的、从哪来？

如果监管允许支付型稳定币直接给持有人付息，我们会改变看法。
